GP 2 W 4 (Due 12/1)

What is an inequality?  Give and example of one and describe when an inequality would be needed.

OR

Use at least three sentences to describe a concept or word that you learned in your math class this week.  You also may use the three sentences to describe something you do not understand.

An inequality is the relation between two numbers by using equal to, greater than, or less than. A inequality would be used to show if a number is equal to or bigger or smaller. A example is 97=97

  2. an inequality is a number which when substituted for the variable makes the inequality a true statement. Ex 10>8

  3. An inequality is an expression using >, <, > or equal to, or < or equal to. For example, x + y is < 1. I am not sure when it would be needed, sorry.

inequality is the relation between two expressions that are not equal. like <,>,=. It shows if a number is bigger, smaller, or equal to another number.

  5. An inequality is the symbols that represent two or more equations:<,>,= ...for an example 12>7

An inequality is an expression using <,>,=
Those symbols can represent bigger numbers and smaller numbers and even numbers that are equal.
    Example is 100 > 50

  8. An inequality is a relation that holds between two values when they are different. You could us <,>,= as an inequality. For an Example: 50>10 or 40<42. Jnique Nelson Per;3

An inequality is a relation between two numbers using greater than, less than, or equal to. an inequality could be used to compare two numbers. An example is 69<70.

An inequality is when two values are not equal or different. An example of an inequality is 9x>18. An inequality needs a sign, number and a varable.

One concept I learned in math class this week was how to solve inequalities using multiplication and division.I also learned that when multiplying or dividing an inequality by a negative, you must flip the sign. Here is an example of solving inequality by multiplication. 1.) x/4<-5 2.) You multiply each side by 4 (4*x/4 < -5(4)) 3.) There so you get x<-20.This is a concept I learned this week.

  34. Period 1 One thing I learned was Translations. Translation is a term used in geometry to describe a function that moves an object a certain distance. The object is not altered in any other way. It is not rotated, reflected or re-sized. ... In a translation, every point of the object must be moved in the same direction and for the same distance
