GP 2 W 9 (Due 1/18)

Dante and Jarrod were arguing who made more money at their job.  Dante made $220 a week while Jarrod made $50 a week plus $8.00 per hour.  How many hours would Jarrod need to work to make more money than Dante?  Use three sentences to help justify your answer.

OR

Use at least three sentences to describe a concept or word that you learned in your math class this week.  You also may use the three sentences to describe something you do not understand.

  2. Jarrod needs to work 22 hours to make more money than Dante.I know this because $22x8hr=$176,And then you have to add $50 to $176$ because Jarrod already makes $50 a week, so $176+$50=$226. That means that he makes more money than Dante because Dante only makes $220 a week.

Jarrod needs to work 22 hours to make more money than Dante. I know this information because $22 times 8hrs equals $176 and then u also have to add $50 to $176 because Jarrod already makes $50 a week and then $176 + $50 equals $226 this means that Jarrod makes more money than Dante . I know this because $226 is more than $220.

What i learned this week in math class was about Corresponding angels. A corresponding angels is the angles that occupy the same relative position at each intersection where a straight line crosses two others. If the two lines are parallel, the corresponding angles are equal.

  5. one thing i learned in math class was about vertical angles each of the pairs of opposite angles made by two intersecting lines

  6. Jarrod needs to work 22 hours to make more money than Dante. I know this because $22 times 8 hours is $176. He makes $50 already so 176+50= $226 that means he makes more money than Dante.

  8. One thing I learned in math this week was corresponding and vertical angles. Corresponding angle is congruent from the other angles which mean it does not equal 180. Vertical angles is always congruent mean it equals 180 degrees.

  9. Jarrod would have to work 22 hours to make more money than Dante. I know this because 220 dollars that Dante makes subtracted by 50 dollars per week that Jarrod makes that equals 170 dollars. 170 dollars divied by 8 hours from each week is 21.25 which is rounded to 22 hours per week because he wants to work more then Dante.

Jarrod would need to work 22 hours to make the same amount of money as Dante. I know this because Dante's $220 made subtract Jarrod's $50 a week equals $170. $170 divided by the $8 Jarrod makes each our equals 21.25 hours then u round it to 22 hours. So Jarrod will have to work at least 22 hours a week to make the same amount of money as Dante.

  11. he would need to work a total of 28 hours in order to earn more money than Dante.Because 8.00 per hour divided by 24 equals $224.

  12. P.3 Jarrod would need to work for 22 hours to equal Dante's income. Dante makes $220 in a week, so if you subtract $50 from that, you get $170. $170 divided by 8 is equal to 21.25, so Jarrod needs to work for 22 hours to match Dantes income.

Jarrod would need to work 22 hours. I know this because, 220-50=$170. $170 divided by 8 hours is 21.25, which is rounded to 22 hours. So, Jarrod would need to work 22 hours to make more money than Dante.

  14. Jarrod would work 22 hours to make the same amount of money as dante i know this because dantes 220 dollars subtracts from jarrods 50 dollars a week will equal up to 170 dollars then divideby the 8 dollars jarrod makes each hour 21.25 dollars then you round the hours then he would of worked 22 hours

  15. Jarrod has to work 22 hours a week, because 22 x 8hours is $176 and then add $50 to $176 because jarrod makes $50 a week already, which makes $226.

  16. If Jarrod wanted to make more money then Dante he would have to work 27 hours a week just to make more money. This is because if u divide 220 and 8 together you will get 27 hours. So if he wanted to make more money he would have to work 27 hours per week. Jnique Nelson per:3

Jarrod would need to work 33 hours to get dante´s income. I know because 220-50=$170. than 170 divided by 8 hours would be 21.25. than round it to 22 hours. Therefore Jarrod needs to work 22 more hours to make a greater amount than Dante.

  18. A new word i learned in math class this week was Exterior angles. An exterior angle of a triangle is equal to the sum of the opposite interior angles. For more on this see Triangle external angle theorem. If the equivalent angle is taken at each vertex, the exterior angles always add to 360° In fact, this is true for any convex polygon, not just triangles.

one thing i learned in class was how to solve linear systems by graphing. And here are the steps how to do it.First graph both equations on the same coordinate plane then find the point of intersection.Last check the coordinate algebraically by substitution.

Jarrod would need to work 22 hours to make the same income as Dante. $220 minus $50 equal $170. $170 divided by the $8 equals 21.25. Round 21.25 to 22 hours . He would have to work at least 22 hours.

In order to make more money than Dante,Jarrod needs to work 22 hours.I know this because $22x8=$176.Then add $176+$50=$226. As a result, Jarrod makes more money than Dante. $226 > $220

  23. Jarrod and Dante needs to work 22 hours. Because $22x8=$176. Then add $176+$50=$226. Jarrod makes more money than Dante.

  25. Jarrod needs to work 22 hours to make more than Dante. I know this because 22x8=176, then you do 176+50 = 226. If Jarrod works 22 hours he will have made more money than Dante has.

Jarrod needs to work 22 hours to earn more income than Dante. The $22 per hour plus 8 is 176. Add the $50 for each week and you get $226, a greater income than Dante's $220.

Jarrod will have to work 22 hours to make more money than Dante. I know this because if you take the 20 dollars that Dante makes then subtract that by 50 dollars per week that Jarrod makes you should end with a total of 170 dollars. Then by taking 170 and divide it by 8 hours from each week you should get 21.25. So if you round that you will have a total of 22 hours per week.
