GP 2 Week 4 (Due 12/2)

What is an inequality?  Give and example of one and describe when an inequality would be needed.

OR

Use at least three sentences to describe a concept or word that you learned in your math class this week.  You also may use the three sentences to describe something you do not understand.

  1. An inequality is a statement that compares two expressions. Some inequalities contain a variable like y z - 3. So the solution of an inequality like this is any value of the variable that makes the inequality equivalent

    y z - 3

A word that I am learning this week is "Relatively Prime". This word is used when the only GCF is 1. This concept is very easy to identify.

  17. An inequality shows the relationship of two unequal numbers. There are four types inequalities such as: less than (<), greater than (>),greater than or equal to, and less than or equal to. An example of an inequality is 3*4<20.

An inequality is a comparison of 2 numbers that are not equal. They use the greater than or less than symbol when in use. Exbaple 5x+3<20.

An inequality is a relation between two expressions that are not equal. An inequality usually has tbe less than sign (<), or the greater than sign (>). An example of an inequality could be 6y+3>16-y. An inequality could also be needed, like if you want to know your/the legal speed in a school area, or maybe even the highway, and the total speed you're doing yourself. In other words, you have a limit speed you're only allowed to do at certain times.

  34. The week I learned how to write in point slope. For example if we were given two points (2,7) and then given a slope -4. You would then use this equation y-y1=m(x-x1) you would then plug in the numbers. y-2=-4(x-7).
