GP 2 Week 6

Kim said her grocery items cost $25.86. Her mom said that twenty years ago the same items would have cost $20. At this rate, how much would it cost to purchase groceries now which would have cost $50 twenty years ago?

    the cost of the groceries will be $64.65. how I got my answer is I multiplied 25.86 by 50 the I divided the answer I got (1293) by 20. (25.86/20 = x/50) so the cost would be $64.65

  37. I multiplied $25.68 by 2, and I got $51.72. Back then $51.72 would cost $40. In order to get the other $10, you have to divide $25.68 and you get $12.93. Finally you add $51.72 and $12.93 and you get $64.65.

  39. So at that rate it would have cost $45 dollars .B/c if after 20 years the thing was 20 it went down by $5 dollars so it would be $45 dollars .
