Grading Period 1 Week 4 (Due 9/29)

This is a two part question

If you buy 5 candy bars and a bag of $4.00 gummy worms, the variable expression 5c + 4 represents the total cost of the purchase.

1) If your bill came to $21.00 how much did each candy bar cost?

Suppose the next day you went back to the store and bought 3 DVDs and a video game for $30.  2) Write a variable expression to represent this purchase

Part 1. Each candy bar will cost $3.40 because 21-4=17 and 17/5=3.4.
Part 2. So the expression would be 3d+v=$30. The 3 represents the number of DVDs, D represents the cost of the DVDs, V represents the cost of the video game, and $30 represents the total cost of all the items together.

  5. period 1
each candy bar cost $ 3.40 because 21-4=.4
    the expression is 3d + v= $30

  14. Period 1 - Part 1 21-4 divided by 5 equals $3.40 so each candy bar would be $3.40 each for the bill ! Part 2 is 3d+v=$30 which is my varible equation

    part 2. 3d+v=30$

1.)Its cost $3.40 for each candy bar. I know this because the total (21) minus the bag of gummy worms(4) is the total you spend on candy bars (17).Then the total of candy bars (17) diveded by the number of candy bars (5) is your total number for each bar (3.40).

2.) The equation would be 3d+v+$30. I know this because the first part is 3 dvds times their cost. Then you add your video game to equal your total cost 30

  19. Per.2

1.)Each candy bar will cost $3.40. If you multiply 5 by $3.40 it gives you $17.00. If you add the $17 with the $4 worth of gummy worms, it give you $21 (your total). There so each candy bar cost $3.40

2.) If you bought 3 DVDs and a video game for $30 the expression to represent the purchase is 3(d)+v=$30.

It will cost $3.40 for each candy bar. I got this by 21-4 divided by 5.
3d+v+$30. i got this by the fist 3 dvds times their cost, then add your video game to equal your total.

  21. If my bill came up to 21.00 dollars that means the candy bar costed 3.40 each. For the next day my expression would be 3d+v=30$ But we v and d would equal v=20 d=10. So It would be 30 dollars all together. Jnique Nelson Per.3rd

  22. Each candy bar cost 3.50. I subtracted 21-4 and got 16 and divided by 5 and equals 3.50. And my equation for that problem is 3d+v=30.

Each candy bar cost 3.50. I subtracted 21-4 and got 16 and divided by 5 and equals 3.50. And my equation for that problem is 3d+v=30.

  24. Period 8
each candy bar cost 3.50. Because 21-4=16 and 16 divided by 5=3.50.
for the next day it would be 3d+v=$30.

    1) The total of the candy bar is $3.40. I know this because if you take the total price of everything ($21) and subtract it by 4 you will get 17. Then if you take 17 and divide it by 5 you will get $3.40.
    2) The expression that I have came up for the problem is 3d+v=$30.00. I came up with this because 3d stands for how many DVDs I bought. Also V stands for the 1 video game.

  29. Part 1:
The answer is $3.40 how I know this is I first write out the problem 5c+4=21. Then I subtract 4 from 21 and it gets me to 17. Then you have 5 divided by 17 which equals $3.40.
    Part 2:
    3d+v=30.00
