Grading Period 1, Week 6 (Due 10/13)

Ben was a salesman at a car dealership where he made $10 per hour and $50 for every sale he made.  David worked at the same job and got paid $20 per hour.  If Ben worked 10 hours and sold 2 cars in a week, how many hours would David have to work to make more money than Ben?

Would you rather have a contract like Ben's or like David's?  Why?

David would have to work 11 hours to make more money then Ben. Because Ben made $200 that week because 10 time 10=100+50(2)=200 and David's is 20 times 11=220. So David has to work 11 hours to make more money then Ben. I would rather have a contract like Ben's. I want Ben's because he already makes $10 a hour plus $50 per car he sells and who knows how many cars Ben could sell.

David get paid $20 a hour so 20 times 11 equal 220. Ben made $10 and hour times so 10 times 10 equal 100. Then you multiply 50 times 2 and you would get a total of $200.
So David would have to work over 11 hours to make more more money then Ben.

David would have to work 11 hours. He would make $220 while Ben made $200.I think I would rather have Ben's contract because if you are a good salesmen you would make more money. David only gets paid by the hour, so even if he sold a lot of cars he wouldn't get paid for selling any cars

  13. If Ben worked 10 hours and sold 2 cars he would have made 200 dollars. This is true because 10 x 10 = 100 and each car is 50 dollars each so he sold 2 cars and 50 + 50= 100. So 100 +100 is 200. David would have to work 10 hours to make more then Ben. Jnique Nelson per:3

  14. Ben would make $200 because if he worked for 10 hours 10x10=100 and he also made 2 sales so he got $100 dollars from that. David would have to work 11 hours to make more than Ben because 20x11=220. I would rather have Ben's job because if i made 2 sales i would already have $100 and i would have to work as long

  15. If Ben worked 10 hours and if he sold 2 cars he could make 200 dollars . I no this is right because 10 time 10 is equal to 100 and every car is 50 bucks and he sold 2 cars. David would have to work 10 hours

David would have to work for 11 hours to make more money. The reason why is because Ben made $200 (10s x10+50x2 ), and since David is trying to make more money, 11 hours of work for him will help him make $220 which is more then Ben. The contract I would rather have is Ben. The reason why is because if Ben gets paid for $50 for every car he sells and plus the $10 per. hour, he could probably make more money.

David would have to work 11hrs. I know this because Ben's total is 200. Then sense David makes $20 I took the 20 and divide it by the 200 and got 10. Which means he would have to work 11 hours because 10hrs equals exactly $200.

bens total is 200 so you do 20$ divided by 200 and u get 10

David would have to work 11 hours with 20 dollars an hour to get $220. While Ben would make $200 (because 10 times 10 equals 100, then 50(2)times 100 equals $200.)
I would rather have Ben's contract.

Ben would make $200 if he worked 10 hours, because 10x10=100. He made 2 sales and got $100 from that. David would work 11 hours to make more than ben because 20x11=220.I'd wanna have ben's job because 2 sales would already make $100.

  31. David would have to work 11 hours or above. Ben makes $200 for working 10 hours and selling 2 cars. 10 hours times $10 made a hour is $100, then 2 cars sold times $50 a car sold for is $100, finally $100 plus a $100 is $200(10*10=100, 2*50=100, 100+100=200). Then you dived $200 buy $20 dollars getting 10. Write any number that is bigger than 10 and that is your answer.

  33. David would work for 11 hours or more. Ben makes 200 dollars for 10 hours and selling 2 cars. 10 hours multiply by 10 dollars is $100, then two cars sold multiplied $50 sold for a car is $100. $100 plus $100 is $200, then divide 200 by 20 dollars. Any number that is larger than 10 is the answer.
