GP 4 Week 7 (Due 5/19)
On Tuesday Shanice bought five hats. On Wednesday half of all the hats that she had were destroyed. On Thursday there were only 17 left. How many did she have on Monday?
Shanice had 24 hats on Monday in all. I got this by subtracting 5 from the 17 hats that weren't destroyed. I ended up with 12 hats. Then I multiplied my answer by 2 which equals 24.

Jackson 1 On Monday Shanice had a total of 24 hats. there were 17 hats left so subtract 17-5=12. then half of the hats were destroyed so multiply 12*2=24.
The total number of hats she would have on Monday is 24. I found my answer by doing 17-5 which equals 12. Then multiplying 12 by 2 and then getting 24.
