Ben was a salesman at a car dealership where he made $10 per hour and $50 for every sale he made. David worked at the same job and got paid $20 per hour. If Ben worked 10 hours and sold 2 cars in a week, how many hours would David have to work to make more money than Ben?
Would you rather have a contract like Ben's or like David's? Why?
Hint...calculate how much money Ben earns if he sells 2 cars and works 10 hours.
ReplyDeletedavid would have more more money than ben in 6 hours. I would choose davids contract because he gets more money faster.

ReplyDeleteBen made 100 dollars by working 10 hours and another 100 dollars for his car sales.
David would have to work 5 hours because 5 time 20 =100.
I would rather have Davids contract because i would be making more money.
sorry david would would have to work 11 hours to make more than ben.
Deleteben would only make 200$ if he worked 10 hours and sold 2 cars but if david were to work 15 hours he would have 300$ I would rather have bens contract i would be making a lot more money
ReplyDeleteBen would make $200 by working 10 hours. David worked 5 hours. I got that answer by doing multiplication I did 5 times 20 and got $100. So I think David's job would be better because you will make more money. That's how I got my answer.

ReplyDeleteFirst you have to multiply 10x10 because Ben gets paid $10 an hour and he worked 10 hours so 10x10=100. And he gets $50 every time he sells a car. He sells 2 cars so $50+$50=$100 so $100+$100=$200. Ben made $200. David gets paid $20 an hour so David would have to work 11 hours to make $220 which is more money than Ben. I would like to have a contract like Davids because David can make $200 in 10 hours and Ben can make $200 in 20 hours. so Davids contract is better.
David is making money faster than Ben.
DeleteArianna Summers England 1.would of pick david because ben makes less when he makes a sale. david makes more when makes a sale. i would pick daid because he makes more when there a sale going on .

Jahlin Suggs Jackson 2 Ben would make 200 10 hours David make 5 hours. I got answer by doing multiplication I did it 5 times 20 and got 100 so. I think david job would be better because you will make more money that how I got my answer.

ReplyDeleteIf you 10x10 it would equal to 100. Ben get paid $10 per hours and he worked 10 so 10x10=100. He sell 2 cars in a week, so the would get $50. 50+50=100+100=200. David get paid $20 per hour,so that mean david will have to work 11 hours to get $220. I would like to have a contrast like david because he makes more money than ben.
ReplyDeleteBen makes $200 working 10 hours. David works 5 hours. I got that answer by multiplying 5 x 20 =100 +100=200.I would rather have Ben because he can make more money even though David gets $20 automatically Ben can still get more money.

DeleteBen gets paid 10 dollars a hourand worked 10 so multiply 10x10 equals 100. If he sells 2 cars in a week that would be 50 dollars so 50+50=100 & 100+100=200. David gets paid 20 dollars a hour so david will have to work 11 hours to make 22 dollars. I Would Have Davids Contract Because He Makes More Money

ReplyDeleteBen gets paid 10 dollars an hour and because 10+10=100 that's how much he earns if he works 10 hour . If he sells 2 cars in 1 week , he would make 50 dollars and 50+50=100 and 100+100=200. David will have to work 11 hours to make 220 dollars. I would pick David's contract because he makes more money in less time.

ReplyDeleteDavid would get $200 because 10x10=100 that's how much it would be for the many of hours he worked and 50x2=100 that's how much he gets for how many cars he sold and 100+100=200 so David would have $200.Ben would only have to work 10 hours and get $200. so I would rather have Ben's contract because David would have to work 10 hours and sell 2 cars while Ben would've only have to work 10 hours.

For David to make more money than Ben he would have to work 11 hours and he would get 220. I would pick Davids contract because he gets more money in less hours.
