At a baby shower, we started discussing baby statistics. One of the women told us she had heard a report that for every 100 babies born, there were 6 more boys than girls. If we were to randomly pick a child from a representative group, what is the probability of picking a girl?

ReplyDeleteIn class this week, we learned how to add exponents as well as subtracting and multiplying them. For example, 7^2 * 7^3= is 7^5, you add the exponents together. The same thing happens when the expression is division but with subtraction, for example, 7^5 * 7^3= 7^2.

If you have a negative exponent, then you would bring the negative exponent to the bottom(denominator). An example is 5^-2, to change the exponent to a positive you would write 1/5^2.
