Ben was a salesman at a car dealership where he made $10 per hour and $50 for every sale he made. David worked at the same job and got paid $20 per hour. If Ben worked 10 hours and sold 2 cars in a week, how many hours would David have to work to make more money than Ben?
Would you rather have a contract like Ben's or like David's? Why?
David would have to work 11 hours to make more money then Ben. I wouldn't want to have a contract like any of them.

ReplyDeleteDavid would have to work 11 hours to make more than Ben. Ben made $200 in that week and David has to work 10 hours to get paid the same amount. If we add another hour, David would earn $220, which is more than Ben. I would contract Ben since not many people buy cars and he's cheaper.
ReplyDeleteDavid would have to work 31 hours to make more than Ben. I know this because Ben makes twice as much as David per hour therefore he earned $200 just for working 10 hours and another $100 for selling cars so in order to make more than Ben David would have to work 31 hours equaling $310. I would rather have a contract like Ben because I would have to do less work to earn more money.
ReplyDeleteDavid would have to work 11 hours to make more money than Ben.Ben made $200 that week and david work 10 hours if i add another one then he gets $220. i would have bens contracts bc it's the best deal
ReplyDeleteDavid would have to work 11 hours to make more money than Ben. If Ben worked 10 hours and sold 2 cars he would make $200 dollars. David would have to work 10 hours to make the same amount so if David worked 11 hours he would make $20 more than Ben did. I would contract Ben because he has a better offer than David does and Ben is easier to pay than David

ReplyDeleteDavid worked 11 hours to make more money than Ben. When Ben worked 10 hrs and sold 2 cars he got $200, same as if David would work 10 hours he would get 200$. So if you add 1 more hour to David he would make $220 which is more then Ben.

ReplyDeleteDavid would have to work 20 hours and sale 3 cars to make more money than Ben.
David worked 11 hours to make more money then Ben. So what Ben would have to do is work 10 hours and sell more cars to get $20 dollars, so if he worked for one more hour then he will get $220 dollars.

ReplyDeleteBen worked 10 hours a week and got $200.If David works for 10 hours Ben and David would have the same amount of money. If David would have worked for another hour he would had $220.
ReplyDeleteDavid would have to work 11 hours.Ben made $100 in 10 hours and $100 because he sold two cars and that equal $200.And 200 divided by 20 equal 100 but that's not the question so it 11.

ReplyDeleteDavid would have to work 11 hours to make more than Ben. So Ben worked 10 hours and sold 2 cars and made 200$. When David works 1 more hour which is 11 hours me makes 20$ more than Ben. I would rather have Davids contract because even if you don't sell any cars your still get paid 20$ an hour.

ReplyDeleteDavid would have to work 11 hours to make more money than Ben.I know this because David makes $20 a hour so,200 plus 20 equals 220.I then did 220 divided 20 and got 11.Finally I did 20 times 11 and got 220.
David would have to work 11 hours to make more than Ben. I figured it out by mulitpling Ben's hours with David's money, $200, add one more hour and he would have $220. I don't want either of their contracts because I want a better paying job.
ReplyDeleteTo make more money then Ben, David would have to work 11 hours if he were not to sell any cars. Even when Ben sells two cars, David wouldn't have to and still make more then him. This is why I would like to have a contract like David's.
