Grading Period 1 Week 3 (Due 9/14)

The Booster Club hired a hip hop group for a fund-raiser.  The club guaranteed the group a fee of $1500 plus $4.50 for each ticket sold.  There are 1,132 seats in the auditorium.  What is the greatest possible amount of money the band can earn for a performance?  The least amount?

  1. The greatest possible amount of money would add up to be $6594. The least amount of money would be $1500. I know the greatest amount would be $6594 because the $1500 fee and if every 1,132 seats were sold, it would add up to $5094, and then we use addition to figure it out, 1500+5094=6594. The least amount of money the group would get is $1500 if no one bought a ticket.

  2. The greatest possible amount of money the band can earn for a performance is $6594. I know this because if you take $4.50 and multiply it by 1132 then add 1500 you get 6594. The least possible amount of money the band can earn for a performance is $1504.50. I know this because if you take $1500 and add $4.50 you get $1504.50.

  3. The greatest possible amount of money the band can earn for a performance is $6,594. I multiplied the seats in the auditorium and the money for each ticket sold and got $5094. Then I took $5094 and added it to the fee which is $1500 and got $6594.
The least possible amount of the band could earn for a performance is $1500. They could of had no tickets sold.

  4. the possible amount would be $6594. Because you multiply 1132 and 4.50 you'll get 5094 then add 1500 you'll get 6594. The least amount would be $1504.50

  7. The greatest amount of money the band can get is $6,594. The least they can get is $1,500 if nobody shows up. I know the greatest amount would be $6,594 because the fee is $1,500. If every 1132 seats got sold it would add up to be $5,094. If you add $1,500+$5,094 together you would get $6,594.

  23. The most amount of money that the band could earn would be $6,594. The least amount that the band could earn would be $1,500. I know that the band could earn $6,594 by multiplying 1,132 seat by $4.50 which you would get $5,094 then you add $1,500 to $5,094 and you would get $6,594 as your total.

The greatest amount possible would be $6594. This would be the greatest amount possible because your guaranteed $1500 just to do and it you sold out all the tickets that would be $5094 and you add 1500 and 5094 and you get $6549. The least amount possible would be $1500.

The greatest possible of money would be $6,594. The reason for this is because if you multiply 4.50x 1132 you get 5,094 and then add 1,500. You get 6,594. So, the least amount of money would be $5,094.

  28. The greatest amount of money would be $6594. The least amount is $1,500. I know it's $6,594 because you find it by multiplying 1,132 seat by $4.50 and it gives you $5,094. Then you add $1,500 and $5,094 together and you get $6,594, so $6,594 is the total.

The greatest possible amount of money the band can earn for a performance is $6594.I know this becasue 1132 multiplied by 4.50 is 5094.Then 1500 plus 5094 equals 6594.The least possible amount of money the band can earn for a performance is $1500.I know this because the band is already getting $1500 in general and they are getting a extra $4.50 for every ticket sold.If they sell no tickets then all they have is $1500.

  35. One thing I learned this week is that an equation with 2 variables. When you have 2 variables you have to add or subtract them to get 1 number and then do what you normally do for a variable problem. So that's what I learned this week.

The greatest amount is 6594 because,1500 is the least and there are 1132 seats. Then add 1500 and 1132 and it will equal 5094. Then add 5094 and 1132 and that will equal 6594.

  41. 1.) The candy bar cost would be $3.40. The equation are 5c+4=21, when you subtracted 4 form both sides. You can bring down the 5 and solve 21-4 equals to 17. After that, you can divide from 5 with 17 equals to 3.40. So the answer is $3.40.

2.) The variable expression is 3d+30. If you buy 3 DVDS and a video games for $30. You would know how much the DVDS cost in total.
