GP 4 Week 9 (DUE 5/27)
How old am I if 400 reduced by 2 times my
age is 244?
So i put my equation into this 400 -2x=244. I moved 400 next to 244 and got -2x=244+400. i subtract 400 to 244 and got -156. Then divided -156 by -2 and got x=78. You are 78 years old.
England 3 My equation was 400-2x+244 then i changed it into -2x=400+244 .I then subtracted 400- 244 and got the answer of -155. Then i divided the answer by -2 getting 78 years old.
You are 78 years old. You do a two step equation so you set it up like this 400-2x=244. first you subtract 400 from both sides so now its -2x=244-400 which is -156. Then you divide that by -2 and get 78. So thats how i got my answer
Jackson 7 So first you make the equation of 400-2x=244.Then you got to subtract 400 from 244 which equals 156.That leaves 2x=156.Then you didid 2 by 156 which is 78. So therefore You are 78 years old. Arryanna Roberson
Jackson 4 My equation is 400-2x=244. I moved 400 next to 244 and got -2x=244+400. i subtract 400 to 244 and got -156. Then divided -156 by -2 and got x=78. You are 78 years old.
Since the equation for the problem is 400-2x=244, I moved the 400 next to 244 to make it into -2x=244+400. Then I subtracted 400 from 244 to get -156. Finally I divided -156 by -2 to get 78 to equal x. So in total, you are 78 years old.
This is the last blog of the year. You must have it turned in on paper by the end of your class period. All blogs for 4th grading period are due today.

400 - 2*Age = 244 -2*Age = -156 Age = this would make them 78 years old. this is how I got this answer to this question

ReplyDeleteWrite the equation 400-2x=2. Then subtract 400-244 which equals -156. Divide -156 by 2 which equals 78.

ReplyDeleteYou are 78 years old.
I setup the equation like this 400-2x=244.
244-400= -156
then divide that then by -2 and you get 78.
