Each week you will have a question that you must answer.
The questions are worth 10 points each. Those who answer the questions on this math blog will receive 2 extra credit points each week.
YOU MUST USE AT LEAST THREE SENTENCES TO EXPLAIN YOUR ANSWERS.

GP 4 Week 1 Reflection (Due 3/27)
Pick one concept that we have learned in class. Use at least three sentences to explain your concept.
England 7 My example is a 2 step equation the first step is to divide the sides. The next step is to isolate the variable that means to make it alone do the oppisite if its adding subtract it on both sides. The next thing is to isolate it again by divideing it on both sides then you have x=? Ex. 3x+8=26 -8| -8 ---------------- 3x/3 | 18/3 ----------------- x= |6 3(6)+8=26 Just checking to be safe ;)
England 7 One concept that we've learned in class is Linear equations. A linear equation is written as y=mx+b, with "m" being the slope and "b" being the y intercept. We learned about linear equations in chapter 8.
England 2 I learned two step equation. First you subtract the number that's by it's self from both sides. Then isolate the variable by dividing the number that's with the x from both sides and on the left u will be left with just x. And then that will be ur final answer on the right
i learned about degrees in a triangle. you need 180 degreese to make a stright line. some times you only get two letters with a certin amount of degrees and you need to find the missing degree to solve the problem. all triangles eaqual 180 degrees. England 1
England 2 One concept that I have learned in class is constant of proportionality. Constant of proportionality means "the constant value of the ratio of two proportional quantities".
A concept I learned is about Irrational and Rational Numbers. A Irrational number is any number that cannot be written as a fraction (nonrepeating decimals). A Rational Number is any number that can be written as a fraction (repeating decimals)

England 7 One concept i have learned is irrational and rational numbers. rational numbers can be written as a fraction and have an end (Example:8.5) Irrational numbers are ridiculous and have no end, also cannot be written as a fraction. (Example:8.555...)

Time is up! No more on line posts for this reflection will be graded. All late answers must be hand written. Don't forget, it's 3, 1+1+1=3, 2+1=3, 12/4=3, THREE sentences!!

ReplyDeleteMy example is a 2 step equation the first step is to divide the sides. The next step is to isolate the variable that means to make it alone do the oppisite if its adding subtract it on both sides. The next thing is to isolate it again by divideing it on both sides then you have x=?
Ex. 3x+8=26
-8| -8
----------------
3x/3 | 18/3
-----------------
x= |6
3(6)+8=26 Just checking to be safe ;)
Excellent example! You get the bonus points for this question!!
Deletethe sum of the remote interior angles equal the exterior
ReplyDeleteThis is not 3 sentences. As a matter of fact, it's not even one sentence. Try again!

ReplyDeleteOne concept that we've learned in class is Linear equations. A linear equation is written as y=mx+b, with "m" being the slope and "b" being the y intercept. We learned about linear equations in chapter 8.
I learn the slop formula. The formula is y=mx+b. m is the slop and b is the y-intercept. I learn this from the linear equation.

Starr,
DeleteYour answer needs to be 3 sentences. You wrote one sentence.
England 2
ReplyDeleteI learned how to do slope. You have to use y=mx+b. m is the slope. b is the y intercept.

ReplyDeleteI learned slope. The equation for y=mx+b. You can solve slope on a coordinate grid and just as a question.
